Vegetarian and vegan food places are popping up just as fast or faster than the #foodie nation can keep up with.

We get it, it’s hard to eat eco and animal-friendly while traveling and on a day-to-day basis, so we’ve compiled a list of vegan and vegetarian-friendly places for you to check out throughout Ireland.

The Happy Pear – Greystones Co. Wicklow

Likely one of the most well-known plant-based food places in Ireland and across the world, The Happy Pear is grand, simply grand and happy all around. Founded by twin brothers, The Happy Pear is focused on going green in every way, making it an ideal veggie foodie destination.

Cornucopia – Dublin City Centre

Cornucopia is one of the first vegan and vegetarian restaurants in Dublin. Located in the city centre, Cornucopia is family run and oh so friendly. Each day has a different menu, so be sure to check it out online before heading in or pop by and check it out.

Blazing Salads – Dublin City Centre

We love a restaurant that makes good food, but it’s even better when they teach you how to do it! Blazing Salads has vegan and vegetarian cooking workshops available. We’ve never done one, but you definitely should and let us know how it is!

VegFest 2019 – Vegan & Vegetarian Food Festival Dublin

A food festival dedicated to vegan and vegetarian food is coming back to Dublin this autumn! VegFest is taking place from 11am-6pm on September 28 and 29 at Griffith College. There will be tonnes of food, cruelty-free cosmetics, expert talks and more making it a veggie foodie’s dream.

TGO Falafel Bar – Galway

The Gourmet Offensive Falafel Bar began as a food truck that provided tasty, cheap, healthy meals and has expanded to include a restaurant location on Mary Street in Galway. TGO has appeared at the Father Ted Fest and the Galway Market giving the vegans and vegetarians out there a tasty festival food option!

Quay Co-Op – Cork

More than just a vegetarian restaurant, Quay Co-Op also has a bakery and three wholefood shops in Cork, so it’s a great place to not only eat, but grab food for the week to make tasty meals at home!

Earth Cafe – Cork

A newer vegan/vegetarian restaurant in Cork, Earth Cafe does tonnes to be as eco-friendly as possible! They are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so be sure to plan your trip to Cork accordingly.

The Grove Veggie Kitchen – Limerick

Considered Limerick’s “best kept secret,” The Grove is a must-try restaurant for any veggie foodie or health food fanatic. Everything is freshly made in-house, but is unfortunately only open Monday through Friday from 9:30am-4pm.

That’s a wrap to our Ireland veggie guide. We’d love to hear your go-to vegan or vegetarian friendly food spots in Ireland, let us know in the comments below!
